Dr. White is a 1990 graduate of the University of California at Davis. She earned her BS degree in Social Work and completed graduate work in veterinary medicine.
She spent 32 years doing community organizational work with animal rescue groups ranging from stray and orphaned pets, animal care of indigent pet owners, to organizing wildlife rehabilitation on local, regional, and national levels.
Dr. White worked for 15 years as the Executive Director for the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council promoting wildlife conservation and education. She also worked hands-on intensively providing veterinary and management services for old spill response from Seward, Alaska to Long Beach, California.
Practicing small animal medicine for the last 10 years, she brings a wealth of experience to animals in her care. She actively participates in continuing education courses to stay on top of new methods of care in animal health care services. Her special interest in infectious diseases puts front and center the veterinary duty to inform and prevent infections from traveling between animals and their human families.
Dr White is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, Wildlife Disease Association, and Washington Wildlife Rehabilitators Association.
