Tigger - Licensed Veterinary Technician

Hello! My name's Tigger. It's a nickname that most people know me by and (I'm told), suits me well.

My love of animals started when I was very young. My grandparents had a small farm that I loved to visit. My grandparents are gone now but there influence lives on.

I have been working at Renton Veterinary Hospital since 2005. Starting as a unlicensed veterinary assistant and now a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I now split my time between Renton Vet Hospital and Sawyer Lake Veterinary Hospital, our new location in Black Diamond. My specialties include avian and mammalian wildlife as well as exotics.

Prior to my time here I spent six years working in and around the field of wildlife rehabilitation. Most of that time was spent working at the P.A.W.S Wildlife Center in Lynnwood, Washington were I got the opportunity to work with many common and not so common native animals. From beavers to bobcats and song birds to great blue herons, I've worked with a large number of species. The most memorable moment for me at P.A.W.S. was the first time I gave oral medication to a very alert mature bald eagle. There is nothing like sticking your fingers down a bald eagles throat to get your blood pumping!

My interests include wildlife and I'm an active member of the Washington Wildlife Rehabilitation Association. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and children and invariably working with animals.
